Title and artist info

I've just joined a station that needs me to to stream the song-data info to their site.
All audio played out on mairlist goes from mixer output via hardware limiter to the streaming computer (not the same one as mairlist is on) to be sent via de streaming encoder. Is there a way I can send the song-data directly from mairlist and if so, how can I set that up without using the mairlist encoder for audio?

So to clarify in my own mind, the logging would need to be set as shoutcast (same as the audio encoder) with the same server url and password to enable real-time updating?
